COMPARE AND CONTRAST

Sometimes we get lost in other things (or situations) and forget that many other people out there have it worse.

Honestly, this year has been the craziest year of my life. In 1 year I moved into 4 different places and throughout that time, I've grown and learned many things (turns out that I had way more things that I imagined, I'm literally such a hoarder). One of the most important things that I have learned this year would differently be appreciating my surroundings.

There are many people in the world that don't have both their parents (or any at all) and I do, I have both my parents (even though they're separated). There are many people who don't have the ability to walk and probably never will and I have that ability. Sometimes we get lost in other things (or situations) and forget that many other people out there have it worse. Yes, you can cry or feel sad about it for a while but you have to remember how privileged we are.

The truth is, I don't care very much for Christmas anymore. I didn't expect it to be like this last month, I even created a post describing my excitement over Christmas this year but I just want everything to be done so I can start a new year full of new ideas and projects.

2016 is a couple weeks away and I'm ecstatic, it is going to be such an amazing year with my blog and with a secret project that I am working on. I have many things I want to do next year, such as joining dance classes, growing my blog, preparing for New York, that even though that move is literally a few years from now but I love preparing early, and anything that life would like to throw at me. I want to get in touch with what I love in 2016. 2015 could have begun horrible and ended horrible but not 2016, definitely not.
