The fear of artistic expression.

Trying to build an image for yourself can be the most difficult thing in the world. When you're given an opportunity to express your opinions freely and show the world your personality, you can be surprised by many things along the way. One of them being the fact that many people will try changing the way you do things, the way you speak. In a way, it's all very fucked up.

Writing is a way of self-expression, so when a stranger completely guts out your words and switches part of the DNA that makes you, well you, it becomes something else. Those aren't your words, they're someone else's.

These are little thing's that, truthfully, many people don't care very much about but when you're someone who creates original work - it hurts. You just stayin shock for a minute or two because that isn't you. It's like having a baby and having the hospital give you a different one.

What can you do in a situation like this? Quit. The one and only, Diego Rivera, taught me that. Don't lose the integrity in your work.
